Pink and Grey!
Grey has been a popular colour for a few seasons now both in fashion and interiors. Grey over the years has succumbed to a bad reputation of being gloomy and dull but this lovely shade is a clever alternative to a neutral palette. It pairs well with many colours but dusty pink in particular is my favorite! Feminine pink married to masculine grey creates a classic colour combination. These two colours share the same light palette yet create completely contrasting looks – but together they work beautifully! Neutral grey makes an elegant understated background and tones down the girly pink. Lighter shades will add a feminine and calming atmosphere whereas brighter shades bring an energetic vibe. For bedrooms dusty, rosy shades work well with lighter shades of grey whilst bright fuchsias are best used as accents to darker tones. Add detail by mixing prints and patterns such as florals for a sophisticated style or polka dots and stripes for a playful edge.
I have never been a huge fan of pinks but recently with the pastel trend evolving I have been favouring the softer hues of dusty pink. I think you will agree that this colour combination evokes a sense of femininity and calm.
