Zigzags for interiors!

Today I am happy because Homestyle Diary is one year old! Hurray!

Today’s post is about a print that according to the new edition of Ideal Home Magazine is the latest homeware trend. Zigzags are appearing on everything from throws to towels, they are a bold print that instantly adds a playful and quirky touch to your interiors. They make a statement so are great used as focal points in rooms. For temporary elements considerer throws, cushions and rugs adorned with this fun print or for a permanent style use carpet or create a feature wall using wallpaper for an artistic touch.

Zigzags can inject energy, detail and texture into a room and work particularly well in neutral schemes. The print is naturally busy so think about the style that you want to achieve before committing to a zigzag pattern. Select the colours carefully, from monochrome to clashing colours they will certainly add an accent to the room. Soft colours will evoke a calming feeling like sea waves whilst bright hues will add a focal point to the room. If you are unsure about papering an entire feature wall then perhaps use a fragment of wallpaper in a frame instead. Be inspired below!
